i know you don't owe it to anyone to help, but i'd appreciate a bit of help :D
im using the 2005 rsx calibration, removed the speed sensor on shaft option, enabled the option so it flashes the check engine when there's knock... a friend of mine who is good with kpro made a BIT of a change to the map where i was getting knock in a 3rd gear pull.
i've since done a 2nd, a 3rd, and another pull that wasnt quite to 8000rpm...
k20z1
04 type-s tranny
megan header
megan exhuast (silencer still on)
exedy clutch
fidanza flywheel
other than that, it's stock internals, stock TB, stock intake manifold, stock injectors.
if by chance i didnt do something right, i will re-data log in the am (im in toronto, hard to do any pulls here, too much traffic and stop lights. hehehehe). heading back to niagara in the morn.
the knock in the 3rd gear pull was after vtec...
i just wanna make it "safe" till it hits the dyno in 3 1/2 weeks... full tune for power isnt totally necessary at this point. safety is key :D
thanks cranny!!!!!!!
edit: i also have 3 datalogs from before the small edit was done.
91 octane fuel used...94 can be obtained, but i'd like to stick to 91, it's more common here, and where i will be moving to...
thx!
cranny, any help ?..

here you go buddy , if you really want me to make a difference. put the ecu in open loop , do a long datalog like at least 20 minutes. i can part throttle tune it for you. let me know before you do this though , cause if you want me to do this , i need to set your cam angles before hand. you should see a big difference just after what i just did i bet , lol. wait and see.
PS. if you can get 94 at the pump without too much trouble , run it. youl benefit.

effing awesome cranny, you probally dont get the thanks you deserve.
so, i'll load this in the am (gotta fix my alternator...got a new one. ugh. it died on me down the highway!)
so, should i do a 2nd and a 3rd gear pull, plus a long driving session (roads, stop and go, highway?)
i just wanna make sure i give you what you need to do this up.
i would LIKE to keep it at 91 octane - when i move to the USA, that's mostly whats in that area..... i can get 94, no issue...but i worry about then going to 91 in a few months and having issues.. :P
how do i make sure the ecu is in open loop? should i just remove the check box in "closed loop"? anything else?
thanks a mil!
i will do this datalog tomorrow for sure....should i use the kal, or do you wanna post up a new one with dif cam angles?

hey fonz, thx for hijacking my thread ! :)
anyway.
i did a 30 min datalog.
it was hard to do solid pulls, but i got some 2nd and 3rd gear pulls in there, to the best of my ability. it's about 30 mins long.
at first there is some idle
then a bit of city
then a merge onto the highway
then off the highway, followed by some pulls - to the best of my ability, given even the backroads are full of parks. fun.... gotta be careful...
if theres anything more you need, lemmie know!
*btw* i removed the check mark in the box "closed loop"...you said you wanted it in open loop, right? if i made a mistake, lemmie know
thank you for everything cranny!

heres an update for you. your WOT pulls need to be in 3rd gear buddy. 2nd isnt accurate enough. ive also locked your cam angles in for the next few datalogs ok. another long one like that. try and make the 4 red squares that light up where the map is being read highlight everywheres from 2-4500 rpm , columns 2-6. understand?
