Cold Start Issues
Cold Start Issues
Is there any way to tune the s200 so that the car will idle when it is cold outside? The car has a h22 with a euro type r manifold and 70mm Ericks racing throttle body. The throttle body does not have a FITV so the car will not idle when the weather is cold really cold. I need to keep my foot on the gas for a minute then the car will warm up to idle on its own. Anyone have any ideas?
have you found your cure yet? .. I'm having this problem as well. Runs great except the first minute or two after startup. Sometimes it starts good and sometimes I have to keep my foot on the gas
I do have an O2 meter showing that I'm running rich, 10-11... after a few minutes it's idling perfectly, 14.7

Turn the cold start enrichment down.jbbauer wrote:have you found your cure yet? .. I'm having this problem as well. Runs great except the first minute or two after startup. Sometimes it starts good and sometimes I have to keep my foot on the gas

It is on the same tab as the injector multiplier. 2nd from the bottom. I can't tell you for sure until I get home nor can I tell you the name until I get home.jbbauer wrote:where is this in the RomEditor, I looked last night and couldn't find where you configure "cold start fuel enrichment"... thanks again
Sure enough, I found too possible candidates:
ECT Enrichment and Post Start Enrichment, right where you said they'd be. THANKS! I'm guessing my problem is more related to Post Start Enrichment because sometimes I have the problem when the car is still warm.
What AFR range is your car usually at on a cold start and/or post start? I'm assuming 10AFR is way too rich?

Yes, those are it. I have mine set at .57 but I have 800cc injectors. Mine idles at 12 to 1.jbbauer wrote:Sure enough, I found too possible candidates:
