? O2 sensor voltage conversion programmed into EPROM

Post by jbbauer »

O2 sensor Voltage conversion table question

I'm wondering if this table gets downloaded into the EPROM. I'd like to leave the WB O2 permanently connected into the ECU. And have the ECU run closed responding to WB instead of NB.

The table isn't used by the ECU. It's just for tuning/datalogging. Some WB o2 setups (like the techedge setups) have a simulated narrowband output that the car can run in closed loop from. I put a switch on the connector to the wideband to switch between narrowband and wideband. When I'm done tuning for a while I just switch back to narrowband.

What he said...you want to tune with a wideband and drive with a narrow band [or emulate a WB as a NB].

Thanks guys. I now have a DPDT switch that lets me switch between WB and NB for easy tuning. Only problem is there was some shielding around the O2 wire into the ECU and I'm not sure is it's necessary to route this shielding over to the switch and back to the ECU.

I'm not sure about the shielded wire...I converted my 5 wire VX to a 4 wire and didn't use the shielded wire...everything seems to be fine.
