KManager V1.3.5

Post by Hondata »

V1.3.5 (11 March 2009)

• Fixed map tracing not working for S2000 calibrations.
• Fixed lambda overlay applying closed loop fuel trims when in open loop.
• Moved application files to user's local data directory to stop Vista Virtualization
• Added the option to disable the screen saver when datalogging.

Unfortuntly we have had to move some of the file locations around to keep Vista happy. More information on file virtualization can be found in the help file

i had problem starting the car after upgrading to the new version 1.3.5.
i also realised that the uploading time is very fast which is unusual, and CEL stays on. tried to erase ECU and upload again. it's the same.
i had to go back to the version that i have in CD (1.2.2.5)

PRB ECU on euro CTR

please advice.

I have also experienced several extremely fast uploads, uploads that were so fast that they clearly weren't actually taking place. If I restarted Kmanager and tried again it seemed to work correctly.

there is another bug, your display/tables/graphs/datalog table and everything is reset everytime you exit k-manager.. Its really annoying.. I went back to 1.3.4 and it fixed it..

Why is it resetting back everytime exiting k-manager?

With KManager you cannot roll back versions. The problem above is a good example of what happens if you do.

Since 1.3.5 copies the configuration files from 'Program File' to the user's local data directory, 1.3.4 will not find the configuration files and then will re-create them. Running 1.3.5 again will then use the default configuration files created by 1.3.4.

The problem now is that if there was a problem with 1.3.5 saving configuration files, then is now is not possible to diagnose any futher. Otherwise the first step would be to describe the OS, installation directory structure, user local application data and perform a search for KManager.ini files to see what is going on.

Lastly, the first step in getting problems fixed is to imform us about them. The thread on ClubRSX went on for a day before I was informed about it, and from there it took less than 2 hours to find and fix the problem.

Well, i got it to finally to save the graphs and tables on kamanager in where you last left it in your new verison..
YOu gotta run it as an aministrator for one time, open kamanager up 1 time. And then exit out, disable admi. and then its back to normal...
Your last display and location of tables and graphs will be saved...

BTW, I went back to the older verison with no problems and it fixed my problem. But now its figured out..
I should be on yall's pay roll... :)

ummmmm, my problem happened when i updated to your new verison.
Had nothing to do with me swapping back to an older verison.. When I swapped back to an older verison, it fixed everything.
Just make sure you have all your kals/datalogs/display setting saved on a flash drive as backup..

two more Problems with 1.3.5.0

Post by doc »

Yesturday i had a K24 + ITB's (Alpha-N) on the dyno.

With the 1.3.5.0 Software the VTEC does not work!?
On the sensors screen you can see VTS change to "on" but the VTEC solenoid is not powered.

I reinstalled 1.3.4.0 (i gladly had still on my laptop) and everything worked like it should! Exact the same kalibration, nothing changed!

The other problem i've with the 1.3.5.0 is: The car has a AIM Digital Dash installed. To make it work i need to edit the KMANAGER.INI file. Unfortunatly i cannot find any KMANAGER.INI on the PC. The PC is running XP Pro. I looked at the help file but in "C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data" is no KMANGER.INI, no KMANGER directory, Hondata or whatever. I searched the whole drive for the KMANGER.INI - no luck. (yes, i've Adminstrator right on the PC)
Any idea!?

1. Update to 1.3.5.1

2. In the control panel, open 'Folder Options'. On the view tab, check 'Show hidden files and folders'

Thank you for the quick reply!

to 1: Is/was the VTEC issue a known problem with 1.3.5.0?

to 2: Seems i get blind slowly. Finally i found it after i looked at the log of the FileMonitor  The right path on XP is: "C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Application Data\Hondata\KManager"
