K pro not recognizing ignition on

Post by 02ep3si »

I have searched around and cannot find anything. I have read the thing about posting the serial number and stuff but i dont have it. Here is the deal. I am looking to buy a used k pro from a local guy. I plugged it into my rsx, I already had k manager and the newest updates. I updated the USB drivers and everything was going great. Once the PC rebooted i opened Kmanager up again turned the ignition to run and went to upload a kal, but it is not sensing the ignition on. I didnt see any led's lighting up either.

I have owned kpro before and never had this problem.

So my question is could i be just that dumb and messed something up or does the ECU need repaired?

If it needs repaired is there a process i can go through to have it done? If so how much?

Thanks a bunch.

More than likely if it does not show ignition on, then the ECU is damaged and would have to be replaced. I would highly advise against purchasing this ecu.

i take it that it is not repairable either?

i guess what i am trying to say is if i get it for a good deal can the kpro board be swapped into a workin ecu?

thanks for your help

It's not a good deal if it's not working. It may be a bad ecu, bad K-Pro, or both. Save yoruself the time, hassle and money and just get a new one and have it installed in your ecu.
