datalogging fuel pressure with analog#2 question

Post by boostedcivicsir »

i have already cut the resistors out for using the eld to monitor wideband.

i know it is pretty straight forward but just want to make sure all that i need to do is cut r2 and r3 out. and will this have adverse effects? thankyou.

Just somthing i have been thinkg about recently, care to share a little info on how you intend to do it, i.e what sensor are you using to read the pressure

WEST
Its Small, Its Red, Its Mid engined, It has a B18 fitted, 250hp+per tonne + nitrous

aem fuel pressure transducer. then attach a voltage to a pressure and you can log it. much like the map sensor does. just using the analog input.

you talking about this sensor that works with the auto meter or aem gauges???

nice i was wondering if i could log that to my s300 aswell. im wanting to buy the autometer fuel pressure gauge and it has that sensor.

You applying 5volts from the regulated circuit from the ECU i take it

That is nice and simpe wish i looked at doing it ealier

i cant see why you couldnt use an oil pressure sensor as well.

an oil pressure sensor is a pressure transducer. as long as you are using a 5 volt scale, and can attatch a voltage to a pressure you are good.

i am catching the 5v and ground from the tps, i dont want to mess with anything on the map sensor.

got it all hooked up and working.

i have been advised to not catch the 5v reference from the map. it is dedicated.

i took it from the tps. remember to use the ground for the tps also.

obd1 ecu are pins d20 and d22.

Did you have to splice your wiring for the pressure gauge to the TPS d20 and d22? how many wires are there off the transducer 2 or 3. I have a Defi fuel pressure gauge already hookup in my car but it reads in metric and not in PSI w/c is sucks, can I use that sender and splice my wirings on there and hook them to D20 and D22? thanks.

i cant remember what wire is what dont have the helms in front of me, but d20 and 22 are the 5v and ground, so the red and black have to go to them. the green wire goes to analog input2. (3 wires total)

yes you splice, as that is your tps input. if you cut them you loose tps.

as far as using your defi stuff im not 100% sure on how to make it work.

you also need a pressure / voltage chart. the aem p/t i used had a scale of 0.5v = 0psi and 4.5v = 125 psi
