error downloading update 1.4.0.0?

I have ver1.3.8.0 I clicked help, check for updates, the download window pops up, after its done, I get the message "error downloading update" If I leave Smanager open and try again, it gives me the message that Smanager is up to date, but the version is still 1.3.8.0

I closed Smanager and re-opened it and tried again, same error message. I have tired several times.

Why?

Without further information about the OS, network, antivirus software etc is it not possible to tell what is the cause of the problem.

Manually download the software from here

windows xp. no anti virus, no fire wall. same laptop I have used for tuning hondata for years, no changers. It down loaded all other versions flawlessly?

I used the link you provided, it worked. thank you. I still wonder why it would not automatically update when I went to "help" and "check for updates"? that was a first.

I have never gotten it to update through the smanager. I've always had to go directly to the file, download and install.
