European S2000 my2008 drive by wire ems?

Post by s2kswe »

Hello

I had good results with my 2005 honda s2000 running a turbo with the aem ems. Now i realized i can not use that ems with my new 2008 s2000.
My wish is to turbocharge this car aswell but now im looking for possible solutions.

I got a hint on s2ki.com that you guys over here might have something that suits my needs?

I have seen the sticky on top in this subforum, but the announcement for support of 00-05 is old(early 07), and the last post is months passed.

Best regards

This should answer most of your questions: http://www.hondata.com/kpro_dual_ecu_s2000.html

Thank you very much for the answer, seemed very obvious when i looked at the link you sent me. However the first time i arrived at the site i was confused where to look.

So, this means $1995 dollars and i have an EMS that will work?
Plus that O2 sensor that is. Did i understand the information correct?

The linked page had info about cruise control not working, and something about AC fan idle speed fluctuating.
Are there any more surprises like with aem ems that you need to get some extra electronics for the coolant temp. indicator to work? (Just an example)
Any problems by having a 2.0L version of the car as american s2ks are 2.2L?

Best regards

Currently we do not offer this for cars outside of the US.

We will begin testing the 2.0 versions after we have gathered more information on the non-US S2000s. For example, we do not have an ECU wiring diagram for your car so we do not know if the cables we have made will work.

All the gauges work on the US models.

The 1995 price includes reflashing your stock ECU to work with the K-Pro. We have not yet seen the ECU from your S2000, so we do not know if we can reprogram it. Perhaps you can read the part number off the side of the ECU for us.

The car is stuffed away for the winter, as Sweden isn't s2000 friendly this time of the year. Ill visit the car sooner or later and then i can post some number if I find it.

Hi

Finally I visited the car in the storage and took photos of the 2 stickers with numbers i could find on the stock ems.

This first sticker was on the outside of the box.

This second one was just under the lid of the box. Almost the same as the first one.

What do you think? Will this be compatible with the hondata kpro?

At this time we do not know if it is compatible. You will nee to email doug (at) hondata.com and discuss the options with him as he is the one working on the dual adapter projects.
