feature request / lambda input

Can it be setup so that rather than using a voltage conversion table for lambda, you can do a calcution of the voltage?

eg.
AFR = (volts * 1.6) + 10
or for lambda
lambda = ((volts * 1.6) + 10) / (14.7)

I use a dynojet wideband commander and this is the formula it uses to get the ratio from the voltage. the The lambda conversion talble doesnt work for me because some of the numbers end up being 3 digits to the right of the decimal point and the table will not allow that many digits to be typed. so basically the lambda that it reports is way off, which obviously affects my ability to tune properly.

does anyone else use a dynojet wideband w/ hondata?

2 decimal places like is currently available is more than adequate to tune any vehicle. You do not need the accuracy of 3 decimal places.

the reason I ask for a calculation option, is that I cant get it to reflect the appropriate lambda.

I put 0 volts = .68 and 5 volts = 1.22 but it never reflects what my actual gauges says. I have adjusted the voltage offset to get it to reflect what my gauge says, but then if the AF changes to something else, then it is way off for that range, so it is never actually calculating the proper lambda for the voltage it is recieved. which is why I say I am unable to tune, the lambda that is logged is not the correct lambda. Am I doing something wrong? is there anyone else who has successfully setup a dynojet wideband?

It may just be the nature of the wideband you are using. This is why we only recommend the PLX Devices Widebands.

Some of us had our wideband's before we got hondata. they arent exactly cheap most of us arent going to just go buy another wideband just to get it working with hondata. When I purchased it I read that plx was "recommended" I didnt realize that meant that everything else was "unsupported"

Aren't you guys interested in getting your products to work with other devices so you will have a more of a broad market?

I dont see how it could be "the nature" of the dynojet one. all it does it put out a voltage, I dont see why it is so hard to hondata to interperet that voltage.

It's not that we don't support other sensors, it's just that if you have everything connected correctly and have all the settings in the software set correctly then it should be working. So if it is not working then it may be an issue with the wideband controller you are using.
