Please check my Datalog - slight miss issue

Post by jaysalti »

I have been noticing a slight miss under load. At operating temp, the car will start to cut out if at a constant throttle position. Please be so kind as to review my datalog! Obviously, I know very little about what I am looking for, and am doing my best to learn.

Will be going to tuner shortly, but the info will be helpful.

Thank you!

The problem is from closed loop operation. It looks like the o2 sensor is missing or faulty.

Thank you very much, Spunkster! Could I get just a brief explaination as to how that is indicated? I'd like to learn more about reading the datalogs. Again, thank you!

Look at your TPS readings at idle...they are fluctuating between 1% and 2%. This should stay at 0. You need to fix this.

new o2 sensor. tps still reads steady at 1%. Will check the V reading tomorrow. replaced coil and ignitor with spares i had laying around as well just for good measure. I have a roaming idle during warm up, but not at temp.

btw i didn't think of this earlier, but the rear o2 sensor is bypassed. i notice that the o2 reading stays constant at 3.85 v. This is true with the new o2 sensor as well.

to follow up: the tps reading was .6, and was backed down to .45 and then showed 4.38 @ wot. the vehicle is running with a basemap at this time, and i'm hoping that the issue will be resolved when it goes in for full dyno tune shortly.

got into the wiring today, and found that the sensor plugs for the primary and secondary o2 sensors had been switched. the ecu was reading the bypassed secondary o2 sensor as the primary and therefore gave a reading of 3.85. after switching the sensor plugs, everything went down to normal readings and car runs great. thnx for the help guys!
