Since Hondata has made the business decision to not do a stand alone fuel management system for 06 Civic SI and up, and STILL has not delivered a product for the CT-Engineering Stage II Supercharger pullies, I am thinking the only way I am going to get to my 300whp goal is to add a 15 to 25 shot of NOS. For the last 2.5 years I have been waiting for Hondata. The time has come to move on.
I know Holley has a kit for DBW that will fit, but will the reflash Hondata created for the supercharger handle it?
When I hit the gas with the supercharger reflash I notice my PLX air/fuel gauge jumps to the rich end of the spectrum (as least down to 9 or below), my question is, is this rich enough to handle a small NOS shot? If not, what does Hondata recommend?
Thanks
NOS with Supercharger - Supercharger Reflash
You're trolling. First and last warning. We have not 'made a business decision' not to make a product for the Civic Si. In fact, if you search this forum you can a find a post from us stating the opposite is true.
The answer to your question is that the reflash significantly advances the ignition, and should never be used with nitrous oxide.

Hondata
I not trolling and don't know why you would think so. My apologies if my post appeared to be so.
I just read some of the other posts, I did not realize Hondata had been working on a solution since 2005. I had heard rumors, but that was all they ever seemed to be, rumors.
I am not trying to bash Hondata, it is just that Hondata's close mouth policy regarding in-process engineering can be frustrating as other have mentioned. I know some people have converting to a cable throttle, swapped to an RSX ECU and are living with no gauges so they could run K-Pro. For most of us, that is really is not an attractive solution.
Hondata makes awesome products, the best. As a business person myself I understand the importance of a good ROI for any project. I apologize for my assumptions regarding business decisions on the part of Hondata. As I mentioned earlier, I did not realize Hondata had been working on this since 2005. However, you have to admit, your non-disclosure policy does open the door to all kinds of false assumptions as to why we have not seen anything yet (no offense intended).
Again, sorry if I got us off on the wrong foot. It is just that there are a lot of very eager people out there with 8th Gen Civic SI's (4 years worth) wanting solid fuel tuning for performance CAM's, Turbo's and Superchargers.
Thank you for your feedback on the reflash. However, I was referring to the reflash you did for the Comptech (Magnuson) Supercharger. I would think you would have had to do some sort of mapping and adjust the program to richen the fuel mixture when the boost was introduced, something more than just advancing the timing. As I mentioned before, when I hit the gas with the supercharger, the fuel mixture goes very rich, this is good.
Are you saying the Standard reflash and Supercharger reflash are basically the same, only an advancement of timing? I would think there would be more to it. My apologies if I was not clear on which reflash I was speaking.
Last, if the supercharger reflash is nothing more than a timing advance, what would be the consequences of added NOS?
Btw, congrats to Doug on the new speed records in the RSX last summer.
Again, my apologies if I came off the wrong way.
