Fuel pump relay wiring

Post by pemtek »

I have a UK engine / harness and a PRC Jap K-Pro ECU, the harness is modified for the Wideband sensor as shown on this site.

The problem I have is with a UK ECU the car starts and runs perfectly but with the Jap ECU the fuel pump does not spin and hence wont start.

It seems that a jumper is missing in the Jap ECU (J160) which connects pins E1 and E10. It seems that if I connect to the fuel pump wire to E10 instead of E1 everything will be happy.

Has anyone come across this before?

Thanks

Phil

Who installed the K-Pro for you? What is the K-Pro serial number?

ecu serial number is 2070-102498 0H09
37820-PRC-013

I bought the ECU already done so I have no idea who did it, although I could find out if I contacted the seller.

Contact CPL Racing and they should be able to assist you with getting this working for you.

I took a gamble added the jumper and now the ecu works with the wiring as described on this site. It might be worth a mention on the wiring instruction page that this could be a problem as I found nothing about it anywhere.

Thank you.
