ECU Compatibilty List?!

Post by Roman_CTR »

Is there any information which ECU's can be interchanged? Which features and parameters the ECU's have? And which program to use with mixed engine and ECU setups?

More specific to my actual build: I'm swapping a K20A2 (RSX Type-S) into a EG Civic. I don't have a PRB ecu for it, but i've laying aound a PNF and can easily get a PND ECU.
Can i use the PNF or PND on the K20A2? From the Hondata Site, yes.
But which program to use? Can i just upload the PRB basemap to the PNF ECU? Or need it the PNF Basemap retuned to the K20A2 engine? Will the PNF/PND work with the RSX wideband sensor?

Stock, manual, from a 2002 RSX-S. Don't have the tranny code right here.

Is there something i've to take care about the transmission with the swap?

Since you are using a 6 speed transmission you should use a PRB or PRC ecu that has the reverse lockout.

http://www.hondata.com/ecus.html

THat link has all the ecu's and what options they have. Do not use a PRA.

Thank you! That's the information i was looking for.

Just one question left, the PNF has the same features as the PRB exept the reverse lookup. Can i just upload a PRB basemap into the PNF?
