O2 Heater

Post by Sickek »

Okay I am having problem since my motor swap. I had a boosted z6 from the previous owner. It thorugh a rod finally and now i got a stock z6 in its place. the car is a 97 civic running s300. since the motor swap the cel keeps popping up code 41 which is O2 heater. If i disable it will this fix it? and I would try but im in city and car has barely any exhaust so its a little late. Also would this code make it idle bad and rev up badly to a certain extent? Thanks for all the help.

There may be a wiring problem, or the o2 sensor may be damaged. IF the sensor is damaged and you are tryign to run closed loop then you will need to get a new sensor. Has this been tuned on the dyno?

no i just uploaded hte stock p28 calibraition that came with s300. then i turned heater off for the O2 and that helped a little. Also i am running open loop as i was suggested. but something isnt right still. Since im a noob why would i need to tune since its all stock except the map sensor and wideband? or would these require me to do so.
