K20A2 JRSC KPRO HIGH MAP SENSOR DATALOG

Post by carbonctr »

I have the JRSC with 3.4in 9PSI pulley fitted to my UK Civic Type-R with stock MAP sensor. On my datalogs I get MAP readings up to 156 kPa. Now that equates to 22.6PSI or 1.55 BAR. If I was really getting that kind of boost I think most of my engine and catalyst components would have shattered the windscreens of fellow road users. My car runs fine so can anyone shed any light on this matter?
I have attached a short datalog of one WOT run...
If anyone is interested on AFR values the conversion is:
ELD V AFR
1.333 = 7.350
1.958 = 10.358
2.681 = 13.366
3.413 = 16.374
4.145 = 19.382
4.853 = 22.390
4.994 = 22.991

It's just the way you have kmanager setup.

if you subtract circa 14.7 for atmospheric pressure you get your boost.

Go to options, sensors then MAP and change units to "/PSI and it'll read what boost you are running with atmospheric subtracted automatically.

Nice one! Cheers! I suppose I could just subtract 100 from the kPa value to get the same result :-)

Go to options, settings and change the units to read correctly.

Why is there no "/kPa option? I have it currently set at "/psi which will do just now.
