Sorry, More injector Q's

Post by integra_chopper »

Well, I was saddened to read about the post on the inherent problems with using the low impedance DSM injectors, with the honda ecu (high residtance). Also, it's kind of confusing that you guys state the DSM does'nt work so good in the forum, but you show a diagram and pics of how to set it up. And on that page you don't mention shorts comings of using a resistor box and low resistance injectors. That kinda sucks, cause I was hoping i just might of hit a break.

So not only are there to electrical differences, apparently alot of injectors use different mounting holes in to the fuel rail. Who makes the Honda FI's??

Bacially, what I'm asking if there is a more affordable option than spending nearly $400 from RC???

I remeber an article by Richard Holdener, where he modified a Honda Rail to accept ford mustang injectors. Sounds like a pain in the neck so, what
gives, is there a lower cost option for high flowing injectors for turbo'd hondas?

acutally if you cut part of the plastic on the top of the mustang injector and use the rubber doghnut gasket as well as the honda injector gasket it will work.. if that make sense to you,... but mustang injectors are smaller then your stock injectors...

Watch ebay. I picked up a set of 550cc RC Engineering Injectors from there for $200 shipped to my door. I'm going to spend a little more money down the road to send them to RC to have them flow tested and matched.

Well, I have'nt seen them side by side so I don't know. In the article they nmodified the fuel rail at a machine shop.

I know the stock stang injectors won't help, but the 42 pounders will (440cc). Besides a set of 8 are going for like less than $200 I figured I get those, mod two rails, and I could probably come out pretty cheap.

I'll keep my eye out for the RC's....550's would be nice...BTW, where those new or used????

I have a set of 42 lb mustang injectors in my car. I modified an AEM fuel rail to fit them. They work fine. The only problem I had is that they needed to be modified a bit to fit my JRSC manifold. They fit the stock one fine.
I've got four left! I also have a stock GS-R fuel rail that I could modify to fit them...

The 550's were used. That's why I am going to have them flow tested before I stick them on. But that will be a while...still have a few more $K to spend before I'll have all the componenets necessary for a proper turbo setup.
