Hondata reading 1580 mbar at idle

Post by jonsteffen »

So my car is reading 1580 mbar at idle, and i thought it only goes up to like 880 or something.

I checked voltage at the map sensor plug like the manual said and it was 5 volts, is my map sensor bad?

What map sensor are you using and what map sensor do you have selected in the software?

Stock on the car and stock selected in hondata, also when I rev the motor while datalogging it doesn't show the box tracing around the cells in on the fuel map.

If you mis-wired the map sensor then it will be dead and will need to be replaced. Make sure you correct the wiring before conncting a new map sensor as it will destroy it instantly.

What pins are the 3 wires suppose to go to on obd1?

Also any way to test the map sensor to see if it is dead? Looks like somebody plugged the tps plug into the map and vise versa. That would mess it up wouldn't it?

swapping the TPS and MAP sensor plugs should not damage the map sensor unless they are mis-wired

Well turns out wires weren't in the right spot. I fixed it, and now the car runs great. Map sensor seems to be working like its suppose to.
