Running on limp mode

Post by prorican »

Yesterday I removed my odyssey 680 battery and reinstalled the stock battery. While doing so I had to move the ground to a different spot so that it could reach the terminal on the stock battery. After doing this I turned on the car and all the lights started flickering and the car died, basically it seemed like there was a short. I moved the ground to the stock location (where I should of put it in the first place) and started the car again with out any problems exept that when I tried to drive it wouldn't go past 4k rpm(limp mode). Ive tried checking all the grounds, and spark plugs, and battery voltage and everything is ok but it still doing the same thing. Do you have any idea how to fix this or did I fry the ecu?

Well I just figured out I did fry it by opening her up and noticing that there was a electric burn smell and a black spot on the daughter board. So my question now is, how much do you charge to repair it?

There is a $100 charge for diagnostics, $250 to replace the K-PRo board and $150 to install the K-Pro into a new ecu if the old ecu is damaged (customer must supply a new ecu). You must call and obtain an RMA number before anything can be sent in.
