Help with s200 w/boost and dataloging.

Ok, my friend has a 95 p75 integra with a drag turbo kit. We bought the s200 w boost, datalogging, etc etc and a laptop(online). all the s200 system was bought through a hondata dealer brand new. Well, firts, we didn't get any of the codes for the datalogging upgrade and rom editor too. Finally called them back got the codes. The rom editor worked, but the hondalogger doesn't. When I pull up the ecu info box the box says comunication error in the hondata serial number box. Weird. And all the boxes for the dataloging and stuff are not even allowing me to put in a number. I sent in the blue box to the dealer and they said it worked just fine. So I know the box is fine, adn they did the p75 for me so I know thats good. I think the software is installed right also because I did it a couple of times. So I wonder if there is a problem with my laptop and that port or with the cable that connects the laptop to the blue box.

Are u supposed to get a cable for the blue box when you buy the system?
The cable that connects your blue box to the laptop? Is there? Because I am using one I bought at circuit city.

Someone please help. The dealer (which is the closest) is 4hours away. The car has been down for 2 months. Thanks

To me, it sounds like you don't have the ports for the computer setup correctly. You set this all within the software itself. I would try all your ports. If you are using a serial connection cable, it is most likely #1 but I would try all of them anyway.
If you still don't get a connection, I would try all the ports but restart the computer each time you change ports.

Remember, if you are connected with Rom Editor, you can't connect using Hondalogger program at the same time. Only 1 program at time.

I got a cable when I bought my system (I bought my S200 with all the options) Any serial cable should work.

Finally, if
you plan on tuning yourself (which I assume you are since you bought the software license), I HIGHLY recommend getting the Romulator. It will cut your tuning time in half or more as well as the money you spend on Advil from all the headaches.
