euro civic type-r which cal.??

Post by snowman »

i have a 2002 euro civic type-r.
just installed a prb hondata k-pro.

there isnt a civic type-r stock calibration on the prb part.
but there is a calibration for civic type-r on the pra part.

i have uploaded the stock prp rsx type-r calibrations.
but later on, i've compared the stock rsx type-r prb calibrations tables with the stock civic type-r pra calibration maps.

i've seen that there is a big differance especially on the ignition maps.
the fuel map is slightly differant too.

so which the base ignition map?
is the rsx type-r prb calibration the same as the euro civic type-r base stock ecu map?
or shall i use the ignition timing on the civic type-r pra ecu calibration?

i want to start tuning igniton from stock, so i need to know which one is the stock timing?

thanks in advans.

Use the US PRB calibration. You will need to do some tuning, as there is significant difference in the fuel between the US and UK. The ignition tables should be ok as is.

thanks for the answer. but the fuel isnt really the problem ill tune it.

i just want to start from stock igniton.
ive attached 2 pictures of the stock rsx k20a2 high cam ignition table and the stock euro civic type-r high cam igniton table, there is quite a differance, which ignition shouldi start with?
shall i copy the euro civic igniton table on to the rsx one?

another thing i want to ask.
why is the ignition timing diffarent than what i set it too.
for example i have my ign timing arond 40 degrees, but when i look up to my log file i see its at 36 degrees.
i even tried to increase the timing more, but its always the same.!

what could be the problem?
