Kmanager and Kpro communication problem, help needed

Post by artnsx »

04 RSX Type S w/ JRSC

Having this problem since last night. When i connect everything and get the program going, I can upload kal files to the ECU but when i datalog or open the DISPLAY window while the car is running, all of the values are zero. (RPM, air temp). The graphs continue on but are all blank because all the values are zero. IT won't read CEL codes either.

Im using the latest version of kmanager.
I tried testing and updating the USB drivers and didn't help.
I tried using 2 different laptops and the same thing happened, one running XP and one running Vista.
I Went to autozone and they were able to read code P0500 with an OBDII reader. ( i have had no recent work done on the car)

Maybe a fuse problem ? Somebody please help

Try going to Online, Tools, and Clear the security. After that finishes, close the program, reopen it and go to File, New and upload a new calibration. When that finishes try to datalog with the key in the On position.

I've tried clearing the security. Ive even uninstalled and reinstalled the program completely and am still having the same problem. I thought maybe the USB wire was shot so I tried a different one and that didn't help either.

I think its weird that this problem isnt more common. Ive looked around and it doesn't seem like many others have the same problem..... how could it be possible that i can upload files to the ECU but can't get any information to go from the ECU to the kmanager?

What is the serial number of the K-PRo board inside the ecu?

05005093 is the serial number.

With the worst case scenario that somehow the hondata circuit board is damaged, how much would I be looking at for repairs?

Contact the K-Pro installer that installed this K-Pro. Call Locash racing in AZ ((602) 763-5189) and make arrangements to have him test it.

He can do testing an determine where the problem is and you can go from there.
