Gents,
In the event that Hondata releases a tunable system for the K20Z3 will those folks that have purchased the K20Z3 Reflash prior to this release date be eligible for a credit towards the new system?
Credit for K20Z3 Reflash?

The reason I ask is that I see lots of folks asking about the reflash on various forums and stating that they're holding out for another tunable solution from Hondata or another vendor. I believe there's a decent amount of K20Z3 owners that are sitting on their $595 that would gladly hand Hondata the cash now if they could get most of that investment back IF you guys produced a tunable solution, something in the neighborhood of $500.
Hondata benefits because:
1. If Hondata and a competitor both come out with a tunable solution then those customers that own the reflash would be more likely to buy Hondata's solution because of the partial return on their investment they would receive (read: your competitor would have to undercut you by at least $500 just to compete with you assuming all other features were equal).
2. Hondata has already spent the money on developing the reflash so all of your upfront costs have been realized. Instead of having customers sitting on the sidelines who will only accept a tunable solution, you're getting customers in the door and invested in Hondata and that means you're more likely to see them come back (provided they have a positive experience). You're not losing any money as the $95 that customers wouldn't get back has covered the labor it takes to actually process/reflash the ECU and shipping for the reflash in the event a new solution made it to market.
3. Guys like me who don't track their cars and use them as daily drivers/grocery getters/family roadtrip mobiles and aren't hardcore tuners but who have the reflash would probably never consider dumping an additional $1,000+ into being able to custom tune our vehicles but a credit towards a new system might be enough for me to send some more money your way for the new system when otherwise I'd never consider it.
Hopefully Hondata will seriously consider something like this as an option.
