plx sm-afr and s300 problems

Post by sohctodohc »

just bought a plx sm-afr. hooked it up through the eld and ground to the battery. i dont have a afr gauge.

at first the o2 voltage stays around .5v and is right around 14.7 on af gauge through s300. but after a little bit the voltage jumps up to .9v but the afr stays at 14.7. trying to figure out what the deal is here?

whats the best power source through the ignition switch?? right now we are running it through the power wire on my oil psi gauge.

thanks for the help

by the way this is on a p30 ecu engine is a h22a

Make sure you follow the instructions at http://www.hondata.com/techplxwiring.html

It sounds like you do not have it wired in correctly and may also need to get power from the fusebox as we recommend.

thats the instructions we went by. its a p30 ecu the input is through the eld, do we need to cut the resistors?

and what is everyone using through the fuse box? because we took an ohm meter and couldn't find anything by switch power???

thanks for the help

If this is a square case JDM ecu , there are no resistors to remove.

All fuse boxes have a few spots on them that are either constant 12V, or switched 12V.

http://www.hondata.com/techplxwiring.html

OBD1 only has one O2 sensor.
