K20A2 with BDL 70 mm problem??

Post by interceptor »

- serial number of your K-Pro - 01235
- the calibration (as an attachment) -attached
- a datalog of a problem (as an attachment) - attached
- what sort of vehicle you have - 2003 civic type-r k20a2(euro)
- what sort of ECU you are using k-pro
- anything about the car which has been modified from stock which may affect the ECU (don't include what sort of rims you have nor stereo etc).-BDL 70 mm butterfly dc header decat aem intake
- a specific description of the problem- After installing BDL butterfly poor idling occurs and when you give a little throttle engine revs between 2000-5000 rpm constantly. When going back to oem butterfly everything is fine.Any ideas??

The BDL throttle body does not have propper idle control , so it probably won't idle very well with it. We have seen no real gain from big throttle bodies in testing.

first of all thank you for your reply.I thought something was wrong with that butterfly too.Checked it and butterfly isn't closing completely. So engine sucks some air and idles poorly. But i don't understand the weird engine reaction when pressing the throttle a little. Can you see it at the datalog? Also negative MAP values?

Have you tried rescaling the TPS in the KManager Software?
Parameters > Knock / TPS > Scale TPS

I have a 66mm BDL TB and had some issues...
