PRB without WB, for euro CTR. possible?

Post by Mr Aryan »

If i need to use the PRB ECU in my euro CTR, but don't want to use its wideband sensor, and will be using the stock narrow primary sensor.
would it work? just plug and play?

No! It will not function correctly as the narrow band will not read the proper a/f to run the K-pro.

This is taken from that page..

"If you want to run with a wideband for more accurate in car tuning, you must use the PRB, PRC or PRD ECU together with the oxygen sensor part number 36531-PRB-A01"

So you dont have to rewire it, just run your stock one with the kpro. Just dont do any open loop driving/tuning as it will not be efficient/accurate. You should be alright running around in closed loop.
