speedometer wont work

so i have a 06 rsx, i bought a 05 kpro with harness and my speedometer doesnt work, i made sure the the 05 speedsensor is selected and it still doesnt work. i called hondata they said that it must be something with my car, but i still cant figure it out. it also throws the hvac cel according to kpro but a 0181 according to the brockway. a member on clubrsx who had the 0181 code with a brockway turned out to be some loose resisor inside the kpro. so my question would and a ballpark range of how much it would be for hondata to take a look at my kpro and make sure all the internal connections are good, i would call them but i work the same hours and its been hard to get time.
