Kpro shuts radiotor fan...help

Post by hydrominal »

Hi all, I have a problem with my Kpro. The last time I installed kpro, it killed my radiator fan so I thought maybe its the fan's fault. I tried all means to jumo start the fan, it just wouldnt work. So I changed a new fan. BUT everytime I plug Kpro in, it automatically stops the fan. Only when I plug my stock ecu in then the fan starts to run again.

Send it to 2 tuners, both couldnt find out what is wrong with it. I need help...

You should not be using the K-Pro to run the fan. Do you have the correct thermo switch to operate the relay that runs the fan?

Then it sounds like you have some kind of wiring problem. Who did the harness for this vehicle?

The wiring is stock as I'm driving a 03 Integra Type-R so its a direct fit or so I heard from my tuner. Yesterday, tried the Kpro again and i think its really the fault of the ECU. Both fans are fluctuating, on n off every 5 secs. sigh....
Have anyone gotten this b4?

Try unplugging the fan thermo switch. What happens?

Are you sure that none of your nitrous controls are active and/or have output set to B6 - Fan control? Sometimes they have a pesky habit of getting activated accidentally
