Question about cranking datalog

Post by sethfrancis83 »

I have a GSR turbo with 680cc precision injectors in a 91 Si hatch. I am running an OBD2a distributor, and S300. I pulled everything out of a running car (s300,distributor, jumper harness, and engine) slapped a turbo setup on it, and I am having severe problems getting it started.

When I log cranking, the RPM stays at 0 for about 6 revolutions and then jumps to 65535 RPM. Not a typo there sixty five thousand five hundred and thirty five RPM. The map jumps to the highest rpm available and duty cycle kicks up to 100%.

I have torn the entire harness down twice and checked for touching wires and broken wires, I have used 3 different s300 units, I have tried 2 different distributors, I have put stock 240cc low impedance injectors back in, and it still does the same thing. I pull the spark plugs and they are soaked in fuel after about 10 seconds or less of cranking.

I tried to use Clear flood mode and it will start to hit on about 2 cylinders and actually started once, but only once and died after it ran for 15 seconds.

Any suggestions?

Try the ECU and s300 on another vehicle.
