Post by brooklyngenius »

Ok I just recently got the reflash on my 07 SI. I was told that the reflash removes the speed governor but now its limiting me to 130mph were as stock i was at 140. why??

There is no speed limiter on the US ECUs, either stock or with the reflash.

We've run the ECU on the dyno up to 168 mph, both in stock and reflashed form.

the si has been shown to limit around 130-140. i forget which it is. searching on youtube for si videos, u can find a video showing and testing the limiter.

Ok, with further testing the 2006 models do not have a speed limiter and the 2007 models have a 135 mph speed limiter.

We'll look at removing it for future reflashes.

If we remove the speed limiter in the future then we'll offer an upgrade.
