jrs intercooler

here's a thought. if i cut my jrs manifold through the middle between the supercharger plenum area and the runners, blanked it off, created a collector on both new chamber sides that will act as an outlet and an inlet, run the charge through a small air to air intercooler and back into the runner side inlet, will this badly effect throttle response?
has anyone tried this?
does it sound do-able to anyone?
