i got the ecu from a guy that had a map in it from tdi north. i put the map in but none of the settings are what was runing in his car. the rev limiter is at 8100 and launch control isnt on.
whats involved in raising it to 8600? do i need to set the fueling on will the ecu sort that out?
my a/f isnt picking up any more when im dataloging either

Do you have a wideband sensor? The UK EP3 doesn't come with one as standard.
If you have a copy of the map you can go into parameters and raise the limiter.
Also the ECU will sort out your fuel on part throttle if it is on closed loop but on WOT it reads straight from the map so it's better to get your A/F checked out.
Also make sure the MIL is ticked for checking knock.
If you don't have a copy of the map you can try downloading it from the ECU but that will only be if TDI hasn't protected it.
Failing that you'll need a fresh tune.

its just the standard lamda sensors thats in it.
when i first had it dataloging it was giving a/f reading.
i think it will be best with a fresh tune if it cant sort out the fueling on WOT dont want it blowing

UK EP3's have a narrow band mate so doesn't log A/F.

Which ECU is it? PRA,PRB,PRC or PRD?

Your better getting it tuned at a garage if it's PRA as you can't log from a wideband so can't check the fueling.

If it's 1 of the other 3 you can get a wideband and wire it up to the ECU although I think you lose the imobilizer function using the other type of ECU's.

You may be able to wire one into PRA but I'm not sure how or if you can.
