switch from 2b to s200, now solid CEL

Post by drifter57 »

After driving on the 2b with no problems for 5 months, I decided to upgrade to the s200...

I had my existing fuel maps reflashed with updated software (was done on a new chip i rec'd from hondata), but once installed I got a CEL. I tried reading the code, but jumping the OBD2 hookup didn't work. Any thoughts? As far as I can tell though, the car drives fine, the s200 lights up red accordingly.

Here's my setup:

99 civic si
JRSC @ 6 psi
AEM CAI
DSM 450cc injectors + resistor pack
upgraded fuel pump
Hondata s200 w/boost
p28 ecu

My setup was dyno'd at Church Automotive in Torrance. I plan to go back to see if Sean can help, but was wondering if you guys have had similar problems.

I had the same problem and it ended up being I was trying to use the 2.5 version ROM on the S200. It didn't like it very much. I bet it is something simple like that.

Also check if you removed J12. If it is still there it will cause communication problems between the ECU and Int BOX.

Shawn figured out the problem. the s200 was looking for a knock sensor and there was none... easy fix this time... :P
