Hi there!
I have a Euro spec Ep3 with complete spoon exhaust (2 piece header, B pipe, N1) , spoon TB, Injen CAI and K-pro. The problem is at mid range. 20-40 HP difference comparing it to other setups at these rpms (5-6,5). Above these rpms seems to work ok.
V-tec is at 5250.
Also torque curve is strange for a K20 engine. Peak torque comes at 7000rpm and not when v-tec hits as usual.
Does it need a different aproach to work fine? (ie cams angle)
Has anyone faced a similar problem with this manifold?? If so what did you do to solve it?
Thanks
spoon manifold issue
I have almost the same setup (I do not have Spoon TB).
Spoon 4-2-1 header is top-end power gear. It's not realy good down low, but excels up in the revs (can be compared with toda in high revs). Spoon recomends to use 2-1 header from DC5 for normal driving and spoon 2-1 for track / drag use.
What Kal are you using? The one from the KManager (spoon 4-2-1, ITR cams, gruppeM)? That Kal didn't work very well on my car... I had to modify the Civic TypeR - dyno tuned Kal and that one seems to work very well.
Cheers
