noob timing ???

Post by sfastcar »

just wanted to know what is a safe timing for a boosted single to be running at wot? didn't find nothing doing a search. mines is at about 19-21 at wot @ full boost (15psi) I know different cars need different timing but I just need to know if I can turn it up anymore without causing detornation? i've heard guys running 26-28 degrees but I just wanted to make sure. btw it's running 91 octank. any info would help. thank you.

You will have to put it on the dyno and measure the power output vs timing changes and see what makes good power without detonating.

ok, i'm not making no power at 19-20 degree @ wot and the car has a miss right at full boost, when I turn the timing up to 30-35 degrees @ wot I make alot better power and I don't get any miss fires anymore @ wot, and the a/f is still safe (11.5-12.2) Sooooo. what's the deal, how much timing can I run safe???? or can anyone give me there recorded display runs?
