Hondata compatibility

Ware testing an engine (Civic type R - 2001) on a banch of our laboratory. We have a KPro compatible with the Civic type R (2001). We have to change the engine but we would like to keep the Hondata. Do we have to by the same kind of engine (civic type R) or can we use an other Honda engine with the same KPro ?

You have a JDM EP3 ECU there. Look here for differing engines it works on

The K-Pro is fully tunable and will work with any K-Series engine.
