Hondata,
I noticed on the S2000 application page you suggested using the IAT part number 37880-P05-A00. I went out and purchased this sensor so that my IATs would be correct, however I believe either the part number is wrong or perhaps mine is bad.
I have attached a datalog of both sensors on the car..the time between datalogs is worse case 2 minutes while I swapped the sensors out. The car has not been driven but only allowed to idle to warm up to operating temperature. The hood is raised on the vehicle and it has a K&N FIPK2 open filter element on it. The current temperature where I am is 70 deg F.

Wait so you are telling me that 70 deg ambient air should be 110 deg in the intake manfold before combustion ? While the car is barely warmed up ?
Edit: Also according to your info on the s2000 page you said the stock IAT should read 30 deg higher when in fact it is reading 50 deg lower..this doesn't quite make sense to me.

Certainly. So just to make sure I get the correct readings, do I keep it hooked up to the car, turn the ecu on and then measure the resistance..or can you simply measure the resistance without it being plugged up ?Hondata wrote:It would appear that the stock IAT sensor is working correctly in your case. If possible can you measure the resistance of both sensors out of the car at ambient temperature?
Of course this would be out of the intake manifold and in the ambient air.
Alright, well you guys know best so I will go with your information.Spunkster wrote:The 2.11k reading is correct for the sensor that needs to be used with a K-Pro ecu. The other sensor will only read correctly with the stock S2000 ECU. You should use the recommended sensor for proper IAT compensation.
