Kpro Upload Problem

Post by profresh »

Serial Number:
37820-PNF-AO5
600610-2810 OR 2145 Says it was bought from tuningfactoryinc
Civic Si 2003 K20a3
Kpro
Basic Bolt-Ons I/H/E

So i recently bought the kpro off another person. When i installed kpro the car worked fine. So when i tried to upload a calibration the upload button wasn't enabled. I looked at the bottom corner of the kmanager and it said offline. I have all the drivers and the newest version of kpro.

So i tried the laptop on a different car with kpro and it worked fine and it uploaded a calibration with no problem. So i'm trying to figure out why my kpro is offline when i hook up the usb to my laptop. Please help.

Thank you

sorry for the late reply but i tried with a different usb and it still says offline. there is a green light near the usb on the kpro and everytime i plug the usb in the laptop it keeps asking me to update the drivers but it has already been updated. when i try this on a different car with kpro it doesnt ask for anything and it says online in the kmanager. is there some sort of lock on the kpro? reply asap.. thanks

There are two issues:
- What is different about your car which results in the drivers being installed? A good place to start is by checking the engine grounds.
- What do you do when it asks to install drivers?

To properly install the drivers, go to Help, Contents and go to Installation and then follow the instructions for Installing USB drivers. Make sure you follow the instructions for your operating system.

nothings different? just that he had kpro for a long time and i just purchased mine off another person. and i will cehck my engine grounds.

when it asks to install drivers my friend says it do that because he already has the updated drivers on the computer. Does the kpro ecu need updated drivers or somethings?

You do not need the cd. Just make sure you download the latest software from the downloads section of the website.
