JDM Honda Civic FD2 Type R
The mods for the dyno result you see there is only an intake system. Everything else is stock (exhaust and hearder).
So, that explains why the end result is not as good as Spoon (Intake, Header and Exhaust upgraded).
Drivetrain loss for both Dynapack and Dyno-Dynamics are 15% and 20% respectively.
So, 228hp at the flywheel is not too bad for intake mod only.

I am now waiting for my ECU (not Hondata) to arrive soon.. And the Dyno result is about 240hp @8000 rpm. That is a massive 289hp at the flywheel for NA motor.
Mods are: GruppeM Ram Air System, Toda Exhaust Manifold and Toda Catback Exhaust + Japan tuned ECU.
Let me know if you wan to see the dyno result.

227hp @ 8000rpm , flywheel or wheel result.
The decat exhaust will be less restrictive (with removal of catalytic) thus you will surely expect a higher hp.
Anyway, the Hondata is just a reflashed and if used on different FD2R will surely have different results, coz not all FD2R are 100% identical.
Let's hope Hondata will come out with a K-Pro solution for FD2R and with the ability to fine tune on a dyno.. you'll definitely expect a better result.

guys, anyone actually test the Hondata yet and did the dyno on them.
So far what i heard from some local tuners here is that the stock fd2r ecu has been highly tuned and most aftermarket reflash will not gain much on peak power, maybe only 2-3whp but the solid gains are in the lower to mid range gain. How much truth has this?
FD2R_HKG,
Great CTR you have there for race. Is that going to be run in Zuhai?? Also are you from KC Racing? Do you have an email i can contact you?

Chris, so far we have compared back to back with Spoon and standard ECU, the Spoon ECU provides better torque curve and increase 3.2kg/m, from 18.9kg/m improve to 22.1kg/m, which means better acceleration out of the slow corners. As for the power curve, the Spoon lifted the whole power curve and increase the horsepower from 182.2PS to 226PS.

Yes, the CTR will be racing in ZIC. Please search for us on the internet, as we do not have permission to do advertisment here. Sorry!!!
By the way, if you goto page 1 in this topic, august77 has posted the graph of the Hondata ECU.

Hi,
Just and update.. Finally there is a video showing the dyno result for FD2R with Hondata Reflashed ECU.
Note: Dyno machine used is a Dynapack (so, loss will be around 10 to 13%)
