Can a faulty primary o2 sensor cause me to run lean at times

Post by Axix23 »

I was wondering if a faulty primary o2 sensor can cause me to run lean sometimes and stall out??? I was under the impression when my primary o2 sensor is bad, the ecu reads directly from the fuel tables in my current map???? I am trying to figure out why I run lean like once a month.... Help??

Impossible to say without datalogs and calibrations showting the problem.

Here is the kal i was using and here is the datalog... As you can see, I hit lean cut once and running leaner than usual... And as soon as pulled into my driveway and put it in neutral, the car instantly shutoff.... Cranked it back up, ran normal... This has been happening like once every month or so... Getting alittle annoyed... Please help..

Are you using an 02-04 o2 sensor? just looking at 30 seconds before the car staled at the end you can see your short term fuel trim is around 30% while cruising.

Yes, I am.. I have 06 RSX Kpro with 04 primary o2.... I think the reasoning on my short-term fuel is b/c I am running lean b/c of some reason.. So, your saying its def. not my primary o2 sensor going bad? B/c it is brand new like 4 months old now...
