PRB Kpro'd ecu on 5spd base

Post by Lewis40044004 »

Hey guys, im pretty new to that k-pro stuff and i just bought a PRB ecu with kpro on it from a type-s. Im wondering if i will have problems when i will upload the k20a3-rsx-highoctane91 kal on the type-s ecu, will i be able to activate the dual intake runners in the vtec options? Will my car run fine after i upload the k20a3 map even if its a type-s ecu in a 5spd base? I know im loosing the reverse lockout but i dont care.

Thanks for ur answers guys.

A PRB cannot activate the secondary runners. THe PRB has the ability to use the reverse lockout, but if you have a 5 speed transmission you don't even have a reverse lockout.

Alright, i just bought a PRC manifold and TB, if i put that, i will be able to use the PRB kpro'd ecu on my base? Since i wont have the dual intake runners anymore. Or i should worry about the exhaust and intake cam too. Im getting a a2 head swap soon but i wanna use kpro before that and learn a bit about it.

Thanks for help.
