MIL malfunction?

Post by drmandy »

Excuse my ignorance but I am new at all this and trying to figure it out. Niether my stock ECU nor the s300 flash any error codes but the MIL light stays illuminated with the s300. It comes on when you switch the ignition on the blinks off for a sec then stays on. If you grong the MIL connector then it goes out. Is this normal?

When I datalog I get code 23 (ks). This code pops up with ign on ,motor off and also when the knock sensor is unpluged. The wiring is not shorted to groung. The code comes back immediatly after it is cleared. I do not get this code with my stock ecu.--thanks for the help

I just bought it on friday from your dealer -garage 5 in richmond bc. I don'thave the ecu in front of me but I know it is from a 94 civic auto. The dealer said it has been modified to be the same as a p28 5 spd. My "stock" ecu is a p28 chipped by racingchips.com

You must disable the knock sensor. That ecu does not support knock control.
