MIL shift light inop =( anyone in the same boat?

Post by underpressure »

ok heres my dilema, i have a P28 Hondata S300 w/boost option in my 00 civic with a boomslang OBD-2b to OBD-1 conversion harness. ive tried to get my MIL shift light to work but still havent figured it out. ive tried setting it as low as 3,000 rpms and nothing. it comes on before i start up the car so i know the bulb isnt burnt out. anyone come across this problem or any suggestions to fix this. thank you for anyones input on this.

ok i disconnected the tps and map and yups it did throw a code for it....after going thru everything double checking the pins at the jumper harness i looked at my program version and upgraded it to the V1-3-3 and reloaded my calibration and yeay its back! this is wierd i was just wondering if its just a lil bug in my calibration or from just having an older version....thanx tho for your input spunkster =) for everyone else that runs into small problems like this check your version and make sure thats up to date. sometimes we overlook the small simple things.

Must be an isolated case as my CEL shift light has worked for every version except the new 1.3.3 as I have not yet tested it.
