Loosing connection to hondata?

Post by Rosky »

I have a P28 with S300 and recently i bought a new laptop and installed hondata and did all my updates and everything and this laptop is on vista btw, So while the car is running without the laptop connected it runs fine for awhile then it starts to get lean for no reason and all kinds of idle problems start to show up? this just started happening out of the blue everything use to work fine befor, so i go to hook up my laptop (new laptop first time ever hooking it up to the ecu) and im datalogging fine and within maybe 30seconds to a minute the light on the ecu turns red and datalogging stops plus the car starts going crazy for no reason?

its weird cause you hook up the laptop to the ecu start datalogging while completely not touching anything the red light on hondata goes red and the laptop looses connection to the ecu and the car starts acting weird while running.

anyone know what might cause this problem?

on my friends laptop it never did it or my another friend of mines laptop and there both on XP while im on vista

naa didn't fix it.. don't really know whats wrong

now sometimes while i have my laptop hooked up while data logging on it, it shows green/red flashing right, well sometimes while im data logging with it either everything kills and hondata shows red on the ecu or sometimes it stop flashing green/red and just shows green and my laptop says im still connected but isnt receiving any data i would have to turn the ignition off and back on to get it to work again..

Try using a different laptop. See if the problem goes away.
