Ignition display mismatch

Post by planetspeed »

Hi guys! s300 p28 on stock b18c5 here..As I was datalogging the engine at idle using a jdmp72 cal file, I had observed that the ignition reading on DISPLAY tab was not the same as it is on the low cam ignition table. But as I clicked the SET IGNITION tab to see whether the DISPLAY reads the same, it did.what could have caused this different reading?Thank you.

Hope I got my log right coz this is the first time I would post logs..check the ignition on display tab vs true ignition on the table..

At idle the actual ignition may not be the same as the tables - it's called 'ignition controlled idle'. Jumpering the service connector switch should disable this function of the ECU and they will match.

You still have not posted your calibration so we can see what you are referring to.

I'm just using a stockjdmp72 cal file from the s300 calibrations list..I didn't change anything in the cal file except for the fuel trim where current inj. size is 370cc..
