Oil Pressure

Post by poison »

I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up before (at least I haven't seen)..

But is oil pressure able to be pulled/read in Kpro from the ECU?

It'd be nice if it was and monitored.

Thanks,

There is not an engine oil pressure sensor.

I had to cough up for some nice Defi DIN gauges with a wee part that goes between the oil filter and engine with oil pressure and oil temp sensors on it. Simple to fit. I'm sure there will be cheaper alternatives to pop on the end of the sensor cables than the Defi article .

I think it is a very sensible addition to any VTEC as I have noticed that the oil takes a good 10 minutes to warm up - at least it does in Scotland. Most VTEC owners I know start driving hard as soon as the coolant gauge has moved to it's usual position.
