odd bogging / hesitation on a fast shift

Post by ibiot »

Look at the attached calibration / datalog and look at the 1 - 2 shift. I took it up to 6600, shifted, and when I hit 2nd it kinda felt like it was hitting launch control. You can see the rpms go wild right when I hit 2nd gear.

It does that in every gear on a fast shift for a second or two and smooths out. It does not do that if I granny shift it. All the sensors and everything else check ok to me. Can anybody see a problem?

Car: 96 civic HX bone stock except:

Try reducing the amount of throttle tip in fuel. Also, your battery voltage is falling under load.

The engine is also not warm and you are getting huge compensation for fuel.
