Plugs, Wires, and plug Gaps

Post by toddjlarson »

I was wondering if anybody can tell me what kind of spark plugs, spark plug wires, and what the plugs are gapped to for use on a T3/T4 turboed B18C1 motor (max boost 6 psi) running a Stage 2b Hondata.

I have been using NGK wires, NGK R plugs, and gapping them to stock 0.044.

I have read some people gap the plugs to 0.035, while using copper plugs.

Also, how often should the plugs and wires be replaced? Cap and rotor?
Thanks very much.

p.s. Does anybody have any links to other good forums for forced induction Hondas and Acuras?

NGK Wires or OEM Wires and NGK or Autolite Plugs work well.

Making the gap narrower (0.025 - 0.035) will help prevent spark blow out.

Use a NGK 7 or 8 heat range depending upon your driving (higher speed likes colder (high number) plugs)
