'06+ S2000 ECU Revisions?

Post by thesilverbullet »

What are the differences in the newer s2k ecu revsions, A13 and A14 vs. the older A09, A11 & A12? also, if i get the reflash will my ecu retain it's revsion or will take on the revsion of the reflash? if so, what is the rev of the reflash?

Usually there are only minor revisions between each version, often to do with emissions. We reflash all ECUs to the most recent revision, in this case A12.

We have not yet tested the A13, but hope to do so in the next few weeks. We'll update the S2000 reflash page when we do so.

ECU code vs/ engine

Post by racer.77 »

I bought a F22C engine, gearbox, computer, and engine harness last year to build a track project. The code # on the ecu that i got is 37820-PZX-A04 on one line. Then 6E1548-400522.
Can anyone tell me which year ecu this would be, and if its the correct one for the engine that it came with????

can't confirm the a04 model year.

the a02, a03 & a05 are all listed as replacements for the '04 models which is not reflashable.

the a02 is also listed for the '03 models

Hey am thinking of this combo... toda and reflash. is the drivability/power/?? noticable?

why does changing the header make such a difference?

can i just have the broader vtec band without the new header?

thx

i'm running the toda reflash w/ stock header. but i have a 70mm tp and single exhaust which help airflow. per the owner of the test mule for the original s2000 reflash, the toda header makes power over the stock header in the mid-range but no one has dyno'ed the toda reflash with stock header, tp and single exhaust. with my setup first and second gear rips through the 4.2k vtec. partial throttle in the higher gears does not bog down in the 4.2-5.6k range. not sure why someone would want to go WOT in the higher gears down low - i always down shift to at lease land in the 5-6k range for WOT pulls from a roll. i'm sure the toda give some mid-range gains over the stock header and tp but there's no dyno to determine how much. i also had the reflash with just my tp and there were no driveability issues down low in the 4.2k range.

hi (ho) silver, [sorry couldnt resist]

thanks for your reply. i am not very knowledgeable about cars/mods/tuning etc so appreciate your patience and knowledge sharing.

am i right to assume WOT is Wide Open Throttle? also what is a 70mm tp?

am i also right to read from your post that you ordered and installed the 4.2k reflash BEFORE you installed the toda header and the car drove really well without any issues? -- of course you had the tp on too...

A message to Hondata folks:

Can i run the 4.2k reflash with an otherwise stock car?

thx much

The Toda raflash will hurt power on a car without a good race header. We do not recommend it's use on a stock car.

Turn around is 1-2 days. Return shipping is via Fedex and depends on what your dealer specifies.
