NEW PLX SM-AFR

Post by DOHCAccord »

Im trying to find out how to wire in the new wideband sensor from PLX into my laptop/ecu with the Hondata S300. The online tips and instructions only show the old PLX M100. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts or even the steps to set this up, nudge nudge to Hondata Admin.

Thanks in advance

im not saying its not, instead of online having it say options settings then wideband setup to just go in through closed loop in parameters.
but i want to confirm that the setup is the same since its new. make sense?

what setup are you exactly talking about ?

just the voltage/lambda conversion table?

ALL plx's new and old will be

voltage lambda
0.00 10.00
20.00 20.00

the wiring will be the same. take the wideband output wire from the plx unit and wire it to D10 on the ecu. cut d10.

Got the SM-AFR too - one question one the 1k ohm resistor

Post by PianoMan »

Piling on to this post, looking at the instructions, everything looks pretty clear to install, but I have one question:

The 1k ohm resistor: I have an old O2 adapter - just solder a 1k ohm resistor across the black wires (after removing the old sensor, of course), correct?

The instructions on the website:

"The adapter plug does two things. It puts a 1K resistor across the two black wires..."

Seems to imply the adapter itself provides the 1k ohm resistance, which I'm 99% sure is not the case.

Someone please confirm. TIA!

With the s300 you can just disable the heater, and do not need the resistor.

Thx, Spunkster - I won't get the CEL? Or do I just disable the heater in SManager?

Yes you disable it under parameters.

Duh - I just figured out that's what you wrote in your first post.

Thanks again!
