TPS Problem, Please Help!

Post by edgz06 »

I'm having a TPS issue with an 02 RSX. The car idles fine at 750 rpm, but if I apply just a little bit of throttle, I could get the rpms to increase with the datalog still showing 0% tps. As the rpms increase, the computer will cut fuel (0 duty cycle). When the car is being driven at a steady state cruise mod, this will cause it to buck as the computer cuts fuel.

I've tried to rescale the TPS, but the values will constantly change.

Minimum reading is around -4/9%

Maximum reading floats around 75%

Is this a bad TPS?

Attached is a file showing the increased rpms with 0 tps.

You can not buy a new TPS from Honda. The only replacements available are from Omni-Power, Spunkster said all Hondata dealers carry them.
